2025 Workshops

Adventure Camp
Embark on a magical journey where classic children’s stories come to life! In this exciting 3-day adventure, campers will dive into the heart of timeless tales, using their imagination, creativity, and budding performance skills to transform these stories into captivating theatrical productions. Through collaborative workshops and fun activities, participants will explore the art of character development, scene creation, and the magic of storytelling. Each day will bring new opportunities to build the skills needed to bring the story to life on stage. On the final day, campers will showcase their hard work by presenting their very own theater production to their fellow adventurers, celebrating the joy of creativity and teamwork. Get ready for an unforgettable experience where stories aren't just read—they're performed! By the end of the camp, students will have gained a solid foundation in theater techniques, teamwork, and performance, while creatively adapting and bringing a classic story to life!
Participant Requirements: No performance or theater experience is necessary. For the safety and comfortability of the participants, please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that cover the full foot (no flip flops, crocs, or sandals). With instructors eager to encourage your theatrical success, please come prepared to listen, learn, and have fun performing!

Acting Through Song
A masterclass on acting through a song. This workshop will consist of 6 participants for each age group. Want to watch and learn? Join us as part of the audience and experience the masterclass up close. Ashley and Kevin will work with one-by-one with each participant, and they will focus on character study, lyric interpretation, and movement. This is beneficial to new and experienced actors and singers as it strengthens acting skills and prepares actors for auditions.
Ashley has an AA in Acting from IVCC. Her directorial credits include Catch Me If You Can at ELT and Disney’s Tarzan The Musical at Stage 212. Kevin has a BA in Musical Theatre and music Composition from ISU. His directorial credits include Into The Woods at Stage 212 and the upcoming summer production, Legally Blonde The Musical.
Participant Requirements: Participants must have the entire song memorized. Participants should have a track or a link to a track online. Speakers will be provided. For the Grades 3-8 workshop, 6 children will receive 10 minutes of work with Ashley and Kevin. They should prepare 60-90 seconds of an audition cut. For the teen/adult workshop, 6 actors will receive 15 minutes of work with Ashley and Kevin. They should prepare a song approximately 2-4 minutes long.
