ABOUT
For our Summer 2022 slot, Stage 212 brings to you Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical, Into the Woods. This musical, inspired by the Brothers Grimm, is one of Sondheim’s most popular works and brings together multiple fairy tale characters into one show.
The story follows a Baker and his wife who have been cursed by a witch and thus are unable to have children. To reverse the witch's spell, they must venture into the woods to procure magical items from classic fairy tales.
