"Nunsense is habit forming.... that's what people say" this hysterical little Musical was so much fun three separate times. I played the role of sister Robert Anne. she was a funny, tough, rough character from the Bronx. She had a rough life but became a nun and devoted her life to teenagers. Her funny one-liners kept the audience in stitches. Robert Anne showed off her more sensitive side when she sang one of my favorite songs "Growing up Catholic". the cast of nunsense 1 2 & 3 grew extremely close as we all played our same characters with each show. With the exception of sister Leo. Mother Superior was played by Maryhelen Bidasio, sister Hubert was played by Mary Ann Thompson, sister Amnesia was played by Jessica (Stremlau) Kreiser and sister Leo was played by Barb Williams and by Lisa May.
we had so many amazing on stage memories, but one of my favorite off stage memories, is when Mary Ann's mother asked if we could help pick Mary Ann up from O'Hare Airport on Christmas eve, dressed as the little sisters of Hoboken. so on Christmas Eve we all dressed up as Nuns, including Mary Ann's mom. We drove to the airport and when Mary Ann got off the plane we Nuns were at the gate singing Christmas carols. The look on her face was priceless. she was laughing and crying and then she saw her mother dressed as a nun and then we were all laughing and crying. I can't tell you the number of people we "blessed" as we walked through the airport. Good Times, great friends, brought together by theater at stage 212. #nunsenseishabitforming.
