Pretty much everyone knows that Scot and I met at Stage 212... at auditions for "Children of a Lesser God" in the fall of 1987. Auditions were held in a storefront right next to the Wheel (there was no dog poop-that was a different backroom when we rehearsed The Nerd!). I can remember leaving the auditions and hoping that if I got cast as the lead, the guy with the dark beard would be cast as the male lead. Well, Jon Grigalunas made my wish come true! I think Scot felt the same about me getting cast opposite him, except he was worried about the legal ramifications because he thought I was one of Jon's high school students from Hall! All of this lead to the most awkward stage kiss ever... for our first attempt, I chickened out, turned by head and he kissed my ear. We eventually got the blocking down and have been married 27 years.
