I only moved to Illinois in 2015, and I am so glad that it has been filled with so much time at Stage 212. My first memories are from helping with costumes on "Cinderella", steaming all the ballgowns and sewing three hoopskirts/petticoats together so Emily's dress had enough volume but could be put on quickly without falling apart mid-dance.
Since that show I have been able to help here and there with costumes, as well as working on Children's Theater projects, and at times living in the box office. Just yesterday a patron said to me in the box office that Stage 212 and the Symphony are the biggest pieces of culture we have, and we're so lucky to have both of them locally. I couldn't agree more and am happy that I get to be a part of it.
