“The Fantasticks” offers a twist on the “Romeo and Juliet” theme, as two
fathers, intent on bringing their son and daughter together, pretend to have a feud. The children oblige, and the result is an Obie (Off-Broadway) and Tony Award winning tale from the composers of “I Do! I Do!” featuring a host of colorful characters and many memorable songs, including “Try to Remember” and “Soon It’s Gonna Rain.”
